Scientists Discover Jil Is Special

There is a discernible correlation between creativity and people who opt to leave their home country in order to seek new experiences by living abroad. Living abroad will make you a more creative person... and chances are you are a more creative person because you choose to live abroad.

Here is a short summary. Here is the full 15-page .pdf report.

Angst: "An acute but unspecific feeling of anxiety." I'm not sure how this applies to me; quite the opposite actually. Perhaps you just don't know what the word means.

Obviously it's simple: I think I'm more creative, more interesting, and have a happier life than you because of where I live, and now there is scientific evidence that says so.

Of course, I'm sure that if I was still stuck in some manqué and philistine existence in some run-down New England mill town, working my ass off in order to save up enough money so that I could spend a week or two of every year doing what somebody like me gets to do every day of their lives... living happy and carefree in a tropical paradise... I'd probably be throwing the most indignant little mental spitballs (misapplied vocabulary, misspellings, bad grammar, and poor punctuation notwithstanding) that I could muster as well.

Actually, in truth, it is that kind of thinking and behavior that could probably be held up as a more aperçu representation of "angst" (if you care to be schooled by somebody who is scientifically proven to be able to throw out substantially more daedal wordsmithing than yourself). I won't charge for the lesson.

Thanks for commenting though. The compunctual jealousy underlying your comment, and the spirit of spite and... well... angst in which it was made are very stimulating to my inflated ego.

Thanks also for giving me the opportunity to engage in my sesquipedalian tendencies: I like to pretend that people like you feel stupider after reading stuff like this. I know that isn't the case... but it's still fun to think so.
