Also, since Switch 625 is not a particularly well-known song (although I've loved it since it first came out) I'll include the original version so you can see how stunning this little girl's performance actually is.

Hi Jil. A little off this topic, but it may be of interest to you that the Cdo post office burnt down this morning. Hum I wonder where epril was from the hours of 3 am and 6 am. Lol.
Epril mentioned the same thing this morning, saying she had heard it from a friend. I was going to mention it here on the blog but could find no further mention of it on the internet.
I was joking with Epril that probably all of the lost mail stuffed into the various corners and crevices of the place had finally caught fire.
(Her package still has not arrived here either. A Christmas Card that her friend sent via regular mail arrived in America in 8 days, on the other hand.)

it is hit-or-miss with the CDO post office.I have actually sent letters to- from the fils. to UK never losing one(I only sent three!)it took 3-4 weeks out-bound,while it took 2-1/2 months to arrive at the door of the adressee in CDO.that being accomplished,it has not been necessary to use their services again.Looks like registering a letter just complicates an already iffy service into a 'too much to ask' type situation.Back to NSO for the wife?bribing the guard,at lapasan NSO office (p200)will get her to the head of the line, with some awkward stares but nothing menacing.Always good to get multiple copies(7 at least) and if ever planning to go again, tip the person (p100) handling the request behind window # 6(the first one visited).AAAHHH the philippine islands:land of the eternally corrupt and intentionally(?)inept.
The "tipping" situation is well known, I guess, as our friend Nathan can attest. My hope is all will go well the "second time around."
