Business Win

They say that the 3 most important things for success in business are: Location, location, and location.

I think I know something more beneficial: Being the only business within a 20-mile radius with the lights on, with the music playing, with the pizza cooking, with the beer flowing... everyone else will be dark, quiet, and probably closed.

I'm predicting a crowd of several hundred on these upcoming nights with no electricity, with my generator pumping out the juice. I'm predicting pizza sales might be pretty good for the next 4 months. I'm predicting that my location... under the only lights in Jasaan... will be pretty damn successful.

Will the cost of the fuel and oil not be higher than your profit?

The cost of fuel will be about $1.25 per hour. The profit per pizza is about 50 cents.

However, I bought the generator so that I wouldn't have to sit in the dark, and so that I could have internet and work while the power was out. The generator would and will be running regardless of how many pizzas get sold. Therefore, the cost of fuel is not a factor in the cost of operating the restaurant.

Jil where do you cook the pizzas? Do you use a elec oven to cook them in? Just wonding if the gen will handle that kind of load along with other things you might want to run.

Ok, thanks.

You could also make pizza with a charcoal oven :)

We have a wood-burning pizza oven compliments of my friend, Mike Bird.
