JJ Music Club Again

At least one of you is enjoying the voyage through my outré and recherché musical tastes, so (since I'm too busy with work and wedding to type much else):

About 20 years ago, a friend of the family introduced me to Yo Yo Ma's collaboration with Bobby McFerrin, and I was instantly hooked... primarily on Bobby McFerrin and his voice.

This is easily one of his best performances:

Interesting voice, but I a little to gimmicky for me. After two or three songs I do not think I would want to listen anymore to him.

I tried Andreas Vollenweider but I think he is a little to fringe for me.

I did like Lacuna Coil and will listen to more of their music. I hope they have some acoustical versions of their music. The ONLY thing that has come out of MTV that has been worth a damn is their Unplugged series. I like to hear Rock bands go acoustical...it is very easy to see who has talent and who does not then.

Must the music I listen to his much more main stream then yours - you probably will not enjoy so much.

Here is some Shinedown:

Heh. Andreas Vollenweider as "fringe." That's about the same as saying Debussy is fringe: It's not what you hear every day, but it's been around so long, everybody is familiar with it.

If you like accoustical, nobody does it better than the Brazilians. Check out (originally) punk rock group Titas going acoustic.

and here is an example of them plugged in, just so you know they do rock as well as roll:
