American Racism Alive And Well

The Washington Post has a good article on how much racism people campaigning for Barack Obama are facing.

Meanwhile, West Virginia — one of the poorest, undereducated, and white states in America — is voting tonight. According to exit polls, 25% of people voting for Hillary Clinton admitted that "race was an important factor" in their vote: 25% apparently wouldn't vote for a black man.

And then we have the popular video making the rounds tonight, illustrating some genuine Appalachian ignorance, as a woman insists to the reporter that Obama is a Muslim... but he just won't admit it.

By the way: Hillary Clinton's expected landslide victory in West Virginia tonight could net her as many as 12 delegates, which is about equal to the number of superdelegates Barack Obama has gained over Hillary in the past week. Only 240 superdelegates remain from which Hillary needs to convince about 180 to vote for her over Barack.
UPDATE:

In what is overlooked but ground-shaking news, a special election in the most conservative and white part of Mississippi has put a Democrat into a congressional seat that has been held by Republicans for a very long time (and after the Republican party sank huge cash into it, and even Vice President Cheney went down and stumped for his candidate). This is important because it marks a three-for-three record (first one in Illinois here, second one in Louisiana here) of Democrats taking congressional seats away from Republicans in what used to be heavily conservative districts. Basically to sum it up: If Republicans are losing traditionally Republican seats to Democrats in three out of three special elections, when the general election rolls around, and the not-so-conservative districts vote, the Republicans could get wiped clean off the map.

"...ain't that America..."

Barack Obama is possibly the brightest man to have a legitimate chance to become president in a long, long time. Ironically, many people can only see his color, and what they hear on Fox TV.

"...little pink foreclosed houses for you and me!"

When it comes to President, I'm a single-issue voter: Elect a person who is going to bring peace and stability to the world, and restore America's reputation overseas. If he (or she) can do that, American business and economy will take care of itself.

Congress is where my focus really is now.

Obama 08!!!!!

You know, Nancy... and I don't have anything written on my blogs to prove this unfortunately... but after the 2004 Democratic Convention where Obama spoke, and Kerry's subsequent loss to Bush in the 2004 elections, at any point after that if you had asked me who the next President of the United States was going to be, I would have said, "Watch that Obama guy. If he decides to run for President in 2008, he'll win the White House." Yup... I really believed that.

Additionally, I figured that if Hillary ran against Obama in the primary, I figured that Democrats would pick Obama over Hillary because they would have felt Hillary to be "too polarizing"; that independents and conservatives would never vote for her no matter what... unlike Obama... so they would choose the candidate who could get independents (and even conservatives) to vote for him.

I wish I had written these thoughts down somewhere on my blog back in the day, so that I would have had proof of what has to have been my most outlandish prediction coming true... Oh well. Maybe you'll believe me anyway.

IS THIS THE CHANGE OBAMA IS PUSHING FOR- PERHAPS THE SECOND STEP................

This is information that will make you sit up and take notice of what is happening in your neighborhood.

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system.
Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components. The Koran says to give infidels three choices, 1)conversion to Islam, 2)pay a subjugation tax to the Muslim rulers, or 3)death.

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called 'religious rights.' Islam and democracy are not compatible. Islam dominates all life and does not condone descension or opionions other than what the mullahs think the Koran says. Islam and modern science are not compatible. Try to name one significant invention or discovery from a Muslim country.

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to 'the reasonable' Muslim demands for their 'religious rights,' they also get the other components under the table. Here's how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States -- Muslim 1.0%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1%-2%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their
shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. ( United States ).

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- Muslim 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad &Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris --car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam - Mohammed cartoons).

Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 10-15%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:
Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace -- there's supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 99.9%

Of course, that's not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.

'Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel. – Leon Uris, 'The Haj'

It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France , the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate. Make no mistake about it, the Koran tells Muslims that the entire world must be converted to Islam. The War on Terror is a misnomer, it is really a religious war against the spread of Islam, a War Against Islam.

Heh. Define irony: Read the cut-copy-paste comment above and then the title of the post that it was placed in.

Jil, I placed this here to follow on the post but I felt you may make it a topic because not many ppl go back to comments to look. It is scary though and this was sent to me by one of your fellow countrymen!!

Mike,

Your post hit a snag when it got to:

"At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%"

(Think about that one for a minute.)

I'm no fan of Islam. In fact, only half of my motivation for yearning for an oil-free world is a clean environment, with the other half being so that we can watch the Middle East wither and die in the depths of poverty and privation.

But (a) your "is this the change Obama is pushing for?" line was exceedingly low-brow, and (b) people have used similar analyses to correlate between percentage of black population in a given area and societal problems in America. (I also remember seeing that The Nazis had a similar social effect scale for Jews as well.)

Other than that, it was a fairly astute (if not particularly ground-breaking — I've seen these conclusions before) analysis. I still think it's funny that an "Islam sucks" comment would appear in a post about how racism is still alive and well in America. (Thanks for confirming that it was an American who first sent it along.)

the whole post was verbatim I added nothing to it but I myself have lived in 100% Muslim communities and seen my share of their fanatics but on the whole the "real people" did not share their ideals etc. Actually the people I spent my time with were VERY nice and caring people.

Jil Wrinkle said...

What you said is precisely right, Mike: "The real people... etc. etc." That sentiment — and the inherent truths behind it — is precisely why I always cringe when confronted with those "Did you know [X bad thing] about Muslims?" factoids.

I think that Islam is a fatally flawed philosophy and social model, even without its radical elements, and if it were ever to vanish from the earth, the going away party would be at my house.

However, I do my best in my heart (and on my blog) to keep my opinion of Islam and my opinion of Muslims separate, because the broad brush strokes of my religious bias are only fit to be applied to the overlying dogma of Islam, and not to the broad constellation of its adherents therein.

I don't always succeed in that; I probably fail more often in fact. But that is the opinion that I've staked out for myself, and I try my best to consistently stick to it.
